What started as a simple idea during college – a need for quality coffee to fuel endless study sessions – inspired On the Run Coffee Bar. Watching people sacrifice coffee moments due to hectic schedules sparked the vision for a battery-powered mobile café that blends convenience and exceptional coffee.

Now, we’re proud to be permanently stationed inside Emily’s Garden, creating a welcoming spot to enjoy your favorite brews. But our mobile spirit lives on – our pop-up cart is ready to bring the coffee experience to your private and corporate events.

Meet the Owner

Bertha Hurtado

Born and raised in Lima, Peru, Bertha Hurtado’s journey from forensic anthropologist to coffee entrepreneur is as rich and bold as the coffee she serves. After moving to San Francisco for college, where she met her husband, Bertha pursued graduate studies in Forensic Anthropology and went on to build a successful career in Florida.

Now a proud mom of two boys, Bertha decided to pour her passion for coffee and her drive for innovation into a new venture – On the Run Coffee Bar, Florida’s first electric mobile coffee bar. Combining her love for great coffee with a commitment to sustainability and convenience, Bertha created a café experience that goes beyond the cup, bringing exceptional coffee to community pop-ups, private events, and everyday moments.

With each cup, Bertha’s mission is clear: serve coffee with purpose, spread joy, and make every sip unforgettable.
